Singer Vehicle Design has been creating some of the world’s most remarkable restomodded Porsche 911s for over a decade. The company sticks to its winning formula, using only 964-generation cars and avoiding excessive designs. This approach has won Singer many fans in the luxury world, making it an ideal partner for Louis Vutton.
The collaboration between Singer and Louis Vutton started with a request for a dashboard clock for a car reimagined by Singer. Jean Arnault, Louis Vutton’s watch director, said the project quickly expanded to include the personalization of every functional element of the vehicle.
The two companies worked together to build two unique cars. The first is a saffron-colored carbon fiber-bodied coupe with cobalt blue accents and a vintage-looking roof rack. The interior features high-end leather, similar to that used in Louis Vutton’s bags, and finely crafted metal switchgear.
The dashboard clock is a mechanical timepiece that slots into the right-most place of the 911’s classic quintet of dials. It’s removable and can be wound manually. The rest of the gauges have been redesigned to match the style of the clock, giving the instrument panel a more distinctive appearance.
The second car is a white Turbo convertible with a carbon fiber body and extensive use of wood and leather inside and out. The trim on the whale tail spoiler is particularly notable, and the soft top is nautically inspired. The Louis Vutton clock lies in the center of the dash, mounted low near the shift lever.
Each car comes with its own bespoke Louis Vutton capsule collection. The price of the cars is not public, but they will be showcased at Monterey Car Week in California.
