Lamborghini Urus SE celebrates new Halo game

Microsoft is celebrating the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved with a collaboration that crosses automotive and gaming lines. The partnership between Xbox and Lamborghini has produced a one-off special edition, the Urus SE Master Chief 117 Edition, to mark the anniversary of the storied video game franchise.

The Green Machine

The Urus SE Master Chief 117 Edition is a unique version of the Lamborghini super SUV wrapped in the signature green of Master Chief’s MJOLNIR Assault Armor. The customization goes beyond just the paint job; the driver and front passenger doors, as well as the rear tailgate, feature the number 117 prominently. A UNSC Marine Corps logo is also emblazoned on the back. Perhaps the most distinct detail is the yellow-tinted headlights and windows, which mimic the look of Chief’s visor and turn the vehicle’s daytime running lights yellow as well.

While the physical car is a one-off, fans can get close to the experience in other ways. Xbox is giving away a limited number of 1:18-scale models through a sweepstakes on the platform’s official X account. To enter, players must follow Xbox and repost the official sweepstakes post with the hashtag #MasterChief117Sweepstakes.

For those who prefer digital racing, the special edition livery will be available in Forza Horizon 6. Starting July 30, players can log in to the game and open the message center to redeem the skin for their vehicles. This digital offering provides a way to drive the concept car without owning a multi-million dollar vehicle or entering a contest for a model.

It is difficult to predict how long these specific digital assets will remain available in Forza Horizon 6, as game updates and storefronts change frequently. This situation highlights the potential fragility of relying on cross-promotional items that are not permanently integrated into the core game files. Even if the livery disappears from the message center next month, the physical car remains a tangible piece of memorabilia for the winners of the sweepstakes.

The release of Halo: Campaign Evolved brings a mostly faithful recreation of the 2001 original to modern systems. Xbox has collaborated with Lamborghini once again to celebrate this launch, offering fans a chance to own a piece of the franchise’s history in the form of the Urus SE Master Chief 117 Edition.

Automotive safety regulators are currently examining the structural integrity of various vehicle components, including door handles. Recent investigations into door handle mechanisms have raised concerns regarding their reliability during emergency egress scenarios.
