Canada’s Beachman Bikes has launched its latest model, the Aviator, a battery-powered two-wheeler available in a Class 2 e-bike configuration and a Light Motorcycle version. Prices start at $5,499 for the e-bike, with each unit built to order. The company, which prides itself on being Canada’s newest licensed motorcycle manufacturer in more than a decade, has revealed its latest model, the Aviator, inspired by Britain’s cafe racers of the 1960s. The new electric two-wheeler is available in two versions today, with a third one scheduled for later this fall. The entry-level Class 2 e-bike model starts from $5,499 and comes with a pair of pedals to meet e-bike regulations.
Power and Range Options
The Aviator e-bike is powered by a removable 2.8-kilowatt-hour battery pack that enables a driving range of over 55 miles. The rear-mounted electric motor delivers a top speed of 20 miles per hour on public roads, increasing to 35 mph on private roads. An optional, non-removable 4.3-kWh battery pack extends the range to over 80 miles on a full charge. The e-bike model can accommodate up to 300 pounds and features an anti-theft handlebar lock, a double-locked battery system, and remote start-stop capability through the key fob. The Aviator can be recharged from a regular 120-volt household outlet, making it accessible for everyday use without requiring specialized infrastructure.
For riders seeking greater speed and versatility, the Aviator Light Motorcycle, priced at $5,999, offers a top speed of 45 mph and the same battery options. This version can carry up to 350 pounds and achieves the same 80-mile range with the 4.3-kWh battery. The base 2.8-kWh pack provides a slightly shorter range of over 55 miles. Both models share design elements, including built-in storage in the area where a gas tank would be on a traditional motorcycle, brake lights, turn signals, a headlight, mirrors, side reflectors, a horn, and a USB-C charging port for small devices. These features enhance practicality and safety for urban and rural environments alike.

Production and Preorders
Beachman Bikes constructs each Aviator to order, utilizing its latest chassis design to ensure customization and quality. The company fulfilled over 150 customer preorders through a Kickstarter campaign last year, and full production will commence after addressing these initial commitments. The premium model, designated as a 125cc-equivalent electric motorcycle, is set to launch later this fall. This top-tier version will feature a larger fixed 8.2-kWh battery, an 8-kilowatt motor, a top speed of 60 mph, and an estimated range of more than 125 miles. Specific pricing and additional details for this flagship model will be announced as the release date approaches.
The Aviator’s design philosophy merges retro aesthetics with modern electric technology, honoring the lightweight, stylish character of 1960s cafe racers while integrating contemporary innovations like pedal-assist, battery flexibility, and advanced safety features. The e-bike model caters to casual riders looking for a sustainable, low-maintenance option, whereas the Light Motorcycle appeals to those desiring increased speed and range without the complexity of a traditional motorcycle. Beachman’s approach reflects a broader trend in the electric vehicle sector: leveraging historical design cues to meet evolving consumer needs. The Aviator’s modular battery options, customizable configurations, and thoughtful features aim to attract a diverse audience, from urban commuters to motorcycle enthusiasts. With production scaling up and a third model in development, the company is positioning itself to make a significant impact in Canada’s growing electric vehicle market.
